Hot water with 10 kV – Utilization of surplus energy from wind power

Some of our first 10 kV units were installed at China GuoDian Corporation to reduce power consumption and utilize surplus energy from a nearby wind farm. The park generated an average of 20% waste power, especially in winter, when strong wind conditions provided extra production. This resulted in lost potential as the surplus flow could not be utilized.

The solution:

GuoDian invested in five of our thermal heating units:

3 units of 5.76 MW each to heat a residential area of approximately 200,000 m²
2 units of 4.32 MW to heat 100,000 m² of offices and public buildings

The result:

Fully utilized wind power capacity
Investment paid off in less than 2 years
Stable, environmentally friendly heating without waste
